Your Questions, Answered

  • Reiki is a Japanese energy healing practice that works with the body's natural energy field to restore balance, release tension, and promote deep healing. The word itself means "universal life energy." During a session, a trained practitioner channels that energy through light touch or hands hovering above the body, supporting the nervous system, quieting the mind, and creating space for the body to do what it already knows how to do. Heal itself.

Reiki is not massage. There is no manipulation of muscles or tissue. It is not therapy. We are not diagnosing, treating, or analyzing. It is not a religious practice. No belief system is required and no doctrine is imposed. It is simply energy. And energy is something every living body already understands.

  • Any person carrying more than they should. Terra Grove exists specifically to serve women and those who identify as women. A space created intentionally for you. For the woman navigating burnout, anxiety, grief, life transitions, chronic stress, or simply the exhaustion of being everything to everyone. For the woman who has never been given permission to rest. For the woman who is ready to come back to herself. If something in you is calling you here, that is reason enough.

  • You arrive. You are welcomed. Before we begin we settle in together. A gentle conversation about what you are carrying, what you are hoping to release, and what you need support with in this moment. There is no wrong answer. There is no pressure to have it figured out. We simply check in so I can show up for you with intention.

Then you lie fully clothed on a comfortable table in a calm, intentional space. Soft music, gentle light, sacred stillness. I place my hands lightly on or just above different areas of your body. Most women feel warmth, tingling, deep relaxation, or an emotional release. Some fall asleep. All of it is welcome. Nothing is forced. You are in complete control at all times.

  • There is no magic number. Reiki is not a prescription. Think of it less like a treatment plan and more like a tune-up for your nervous system. Some women come once a month as a regular practice of maintenance and self-care. Others come whenever they feel out of alignment. After a difficult season, a major life shift, or simply when the weight of everything starts to feel like too much. You will know when you need it. Your body always does. For women ready to commit to a deeper journey, our session series offer a more immersive experience at a value that honors that commitment.

  • No. Reiki is a complementary healing practice and is not a substitute for medical treatment, therapy, or professional mental health care. If you are experiencing a medical condition or mental health crisis, please seek the guidance of a qualified healthcare provider. Reiki works beautifully alongside conventional care. Many women use it as a supplement to therapy, medication, or medical treatment to support their overall wellbeing. It is not either/or. It is both.
